Step 1 – Preparation for Entry
Understanding the Canadian Market & Regulatory Review

Things to Prepare

  • Secure your Amazon Canada (AMAZON.CA) account and brand registry

  • Check HS Code and identify applicable tariffs for your products

  • Review import regulations & certification requirements in Canada (e.g., medical devices, cosmetics, electronics, food)

  • Find a reliable 3PL partner with experience in customs clearance

  • Review labeling and packaging requirements (ingredients, origin, usage, expiration date, etc.)

  • Confirm INCOTERMS and estimate total export costs

  • Plan inbound shipments aligned with Amazon restock schedules

  • Create a Shipment Plan in Seller Central for FBA inbound

  • Label and package products according to Amazon's FNSKU requirements

  • Deliver inventory to Amazon FBA centers via SPD or LTL methods
